Pool Cleaning Service

We know that pool cleaning is not glamorous, and most people don’t want to do it. A pool needs to be maintained to be as clean as possible, particularly if there are lots of people using it. There are several maintenance tasks that need to be performed including the removal of any debris off the surface of the water and checking the chemicals in the pool. If the chemicals are not in balance, then they must be brought into balance by the addition of certain chemicals. The skimmer and basket must be emptied and cleaned, and the sides of the pool must be brushed to loosen scum and then vacuumed to remove the dirt and debris. The filter should then be back-washed to lower its pressure and remove dirt from it. The cleaning of your pool can be done whenever it suits you, but it should be done more often if the pool is in use during the busy summer season.

Monthly Maintenance for Your Pool

We can perform monthly maintenance for your pool including preventing the build-up of algae and corrosion. Your pool water should be tested on a regular basis, up to three times weekly in the summer if the pool is in use and at least once per week during the winter. The chemical levels should be regularly checked and tested. We may need to add a shock treatment to ensure the pool water stays clean and clear. An algaecide is often added at the same time as a shock treatment and then chlorine is added to sanitize the water.
 

Pool Opening Service

When spring arrives and the weather starts to warm up, it’s time to open your pool. We can take care of this for you with our pool opening service. We clean the pool, removing any debris and inspecting the entire pool, making any necessary repairs. We will remove the pool cover and inspect that for any damage. Next, we remove drain plugs and winterizing plugs, and restore all the fittings. We will check the filter, return lines and pump to make sure they are all in good working order. We then fill the pool halfway to check for damage and leaks. Once the pool is filled, we test the water and the filter and allow the filter to cycle the water for 12 – 24 hours. Once all is good, your pool is officially open!

Pool Closing Service

When it’s the end of summer and its time close your pool, we will close your pool for you. We take all the necessary steps to preserve your pool and ensure it is ready for winter. We balance the water and check the pool chemistry, then we add a shock treatment including chlorine. By adding chlorine, we can prevent algae, break down the bacteria and keep the pool clean. Next, we remove all removable equipment including accessories and equipment, ladders and handrails. We remove any visible debris and then we lower the water level using the pool pump or a submersible pump. We remove the drain plug from every place that has one then we empty the chemical feeder. Finally, we will reinstall your pool cover to prevent debris from getting into the pool.
