With the Justice League’s new concept art, Ben Affleck steps into an impressive tactical Batman suit for the fight against Steppenwolf.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League showed fans the version of the film they dearly wanted to see, including more footage of Ben Affleck’s Batman during his battle for the safety of the earth. As part of his fight, the Caped Crusader dons a new tactical suit with gadgets to hold its own against the Parademons and the Steppenwolf. And a newly revealed series of concept art shows how the design has evolved from its debut in Batman versus Superman.

Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz posted his design of Ben Affleck’s Batman on Instagram, stating that as he approached the Justice League, he used an older image of Batman versus Superman to work in creating the tactical costume. The new look consists of several panels strapped together over a gray combat suit. The suit carried over nicely to the Justice League, making Ben Affleck look really impressive for the team’s fight. Take a look below.
