David Ayer says that Jared Leto's Joker was higher within the unique "Suicide Squad" minimize
David Ayer, director of the suicide squad, said on Twitter that Jared Leto's Joker performance was better in the original cut.
The Theatrical Version of Suicide Squad is infamous after the DC movie was heavily altered by David Ayer's original intent for the villain team movie. Ayer previously shared glimpses of what the cut looked like before the studio decided to rework it after Deadpool and Batman vs. After the latest news hit online that Jared Leto would return as Joker in Zack Snyder's Justice League on HBO Max, the Suicide Squad director told fans on Twitter that the actor was better in the original cut.
The director had previously announced where fans can find the next version of his Suicide Squad cut, but many are still hoping to see him in live action. When a fan said on Twitter that he would like to see more footage of Jared Leto's Joker, David Ayer simply stated that the actor was "far better" in the original cut. It will be interesting to see how fans react to HBO Max's release of Justice League, and whether that ultimately leads to David Ayer putting together his original vision of the 2016 film.
