eight actors who lied about Marvel & DC motion pictures

These Marvel and DC Comics movie stars all lied about their involvement in these films.

As early as September it was announced that actress Tatiana Maslany, best known for her role in the science fiction series "Orphan Black", would take on the lead role in the upcoming Disney Plus series "She-Hulk" from Marvel Studios Has. However, Maslany recently denied the news of her casting for the Sudbury Star, saying, "This is actually not a real thing and it's like a press release that has gotten out of hand. It's absolutely not – I've been with these things in the past connected and the press got involved, but unfortunately it's actually not a thing. "

Though Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo tweeted "Welcome to the family cuz" and She-Hulk's editor-in-chief Jessica Gao also tweeted the news, not to mention one but all of four Hollywood magazines, Deadline, Variety, the Hollywood Reporters and TheWrap EVERYONE independently confirmed and verified the news of Maslany's casting. What is there?

Maslany is obviously lying, here's why or actually three letters why. N… D… A… also known as a non-disclosure agreement. Marvel Studios' NDA is considered the strictest NDA in the film business and contractually prohibits actors from discussing the casting, let alone confirming it with news outlets. What if actors break the NDA? There are penalties, but perhaps the biggest one is losing one's role.

In Maslany's case, her deal isn't technically complete as for an important lead role like her it would take weeks to complete her deal. Instead of jeopardizing her great chance with Marvel, Maslany will play along and tell a little white lie for anyone who asks her, and follow the rules of Marvel's NDA.

Maslany isn't the first actress to lie about being cast in a superhero project, and she certainly won't be the last. So let's break down and take a look at other actors who have lied on Marvel and DC projects in the video below.
