Fantasy Soccer Rankings Week eight: Working Again

Injury issues caused some run back issues over the past week and carried over to our eighth week fantasy RB rankings. Aaron Jones (calf), Joe Mixon (foot), and Miles Sanders (thigh) were excluded ahead of their games, and while their absence opened opportunities for Jamaal Williams, Giovani Bernard, and Boston Scott, fantasy owners will hope them in Getting week 8 back.

At the moment we're leaving Mixon and Sanders – along with Mark Ingram (ankle), Devonta Freeman (ankle) and Phillip Lindsay (concussion) – out of our ranking. That's the bad news. The good news is we're sticking in Chris Carson (foot) and putting Christian McCaffrey (ankle) and Dalvin Cook (groin) back in for now, which really strengthens the top of our rankings.

In Week 8, the Ravens, Vikings, Stallions and Dolphins will all be active again, meaning Cook, Gus Edwards, JK Dobbins, Jonathan Taylor and Myles Gaskin will be back. Meanwhile, the Texans, Cardinals, Jaguars and Washington are saying goodbye, leaving David Johnson, the Kenyan Drake, Chase Edmonds, James Robinson and Antonio Gibson unavailable. Overall, this is mostly a wash for our leaderboard, and they can even get a bit stronger because Cook is a top 5 game when it's healthy.

The leaderboard is also getting a bit stronger as certain players emerge from previous rotations. D & # 39; Andre Swift has more and more chances in Detroit so the talented rookie will be a solid RB2 going forward. There are still some frustrating committees around, however, possibly with the Chargers (Justin Jackson / Joshua Kelley), Jets (La & # 39; Mical Perine / Frank Gore), Bills (Devin Singletary / Zack Moss), and 49ers (JaMycal Hasty, Jerick McKinnon ) Tevin Coleman) all of which are causing problems in the RB3 stage.

While the ravens are returning this week, it may be best to avoid their RB rotation if possible. They have a tough time with the Steelers, and there are questions about who will lead the backcourt if Ingram fails (and frankly, even if he's healthy). You can use Baltimore's back as a flex, but there are other options with more head and fewer questions this week.

Memory: As always, we expect to make numerous changes to these RB rankings over the course of the week. So check again for updates.
