Hamilton wins, Verstappen crashes, Merc grasp

Lewis Hamilton secured a record-breaking 93rd Formula 1 win after recovering from third to win the Emilia-Romagna GP ahead of Valtteri Bottas after Max Verstappen's fall led to a chaotic end.

Hamilton comfortably ran from Verstappen before the Red Bull driver dramatically jumped into the gravel after a long-awaited pass to Bottas to bring out the safety car on F1 Imola's return.

Hamilton kept his nerves away from Bottas – Mercedes took the constructors' championship although Bottas struggled with damage on the second lap of the race he started on pole – while Daniel Ricciardo made his second podium in three races for Renault before deceased charger Daniil Kvyat secured.
