In a new design, Emma Stone repeats her role as Gwen Stacy, but with a Spider-Gwen touch for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3.

With all of the rumors surrounding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 with the potential earnings of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, it’s surprising that Emma Stone’s name was not added to the mix to return as Gwen Stacy. The character was last seen in Into the Spider-Verse by Hailee Steinfeld and introduced Spider-Gwen to the general audience. With Marvel Studios seeming to lean on the multiverse, Emma Stone looks to Spider-Gwen for a new pic for Spider-Man 3.

The fan design from ‘venomhology’ on Instagram takes a still image of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (just before Gwen fell into ruin) and instead puts Emma Stone in the sleek white, black and pink Spider-Gwen costume. The art also suggests the star could carry her own solo film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spider-Man 3 will also see the return of bad guys like Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx’s Electro, so who knows who else might show up. Check out Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen for the sequel to Tom Holland.
