See "The Boys" star Antony Starr Change Henry Cavill as Superman

Boys star Antony Starr swaps one superhero role for another while replacing Henry Cavill as Superman in a formidable new concept art.

Although The Boys season two has ended, new concept art features Homelander actor Antony Starr, who becomes the next Superman after Henry Cavill. Obviously, the actor's character on the Amazon Prime show is about the idea of the Man of Steel, a patriotic superhero who (supposedly) believes in truth, justice, and the American way. But as any fan of the series will already know, Homelander is the exact opposite of the hero portrayed by Cavill. Surprisingly, Antony Starr previously announced that he would be more interested in playing Wolverine than any other mainstream comic book hero.

The new art comes from "rinsh_art" on Instagram and shows the young actor in a suit combining Henry Cavill's Superman costume with the one he wears as Homelander in the Amazon Prime series. It looks really great – although he still looks particularly intimidating with the laser eyes. It also pitches him against Karl Urban & # 39; s Billy Butcher as a reinterpreted version of Lex Luthor. Even though that makes Luthor a good guy in this situation? That's an interesting dynamic shift to say the least. Take a look below.

Would you like Antony Starr to become Superman after Henry Cavill? Or is he just too good at being a bad guy in The Boys? Sound off in the comments below!

Here is the official recap of The Boys season two:

In the even more intense, crazier season two, The Boys are on the run from the law, chased by the Supes, and are desperately trying to regroup and fight Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Muttermilch (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, but Butcher (Karl Urban) is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must take her place in The Seven while Homelander (Antony Starr) seeks complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a Social Sup-savvy new supe with an agenda of her own. Additionally, the supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought attempts to capitalize on the nation's paranoia.

The boys play Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Aya Cash and Colby Minifie.
