"Shang-Chi" star Simu Liu celebrates crew with wrap picture


The star revealed that none of the crew members caught Covid-19.

Simu Liu thanked the Shang-Chi crew and the Legend of the Ten Rings in a new photo celebrating the end of production.

It might not hit theaters until 2021, but work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is finally complete. Simu Liu recently praised the cast and crew for their hard work on the upcoming Marvel movie and celebrated their hard work staying safe during the pandemic. Shang Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton recently announced that filming was completed with a photo briefly showing the set they were working on.

Simu Liu took to Instagram to celebrate the crew's hard work, revealing that 40,000 Covid-19 tests were conducted over the course of production to ensure the safety of everyone on the set – rather than one person testing positive. It shows how seriously Marvel Studios is taking the situation, and it's refreshing to hear some good news. Check out the Shang Chi star talking about the shoot below.

Featured in Special Marvel Edition No. 15 in December 1973, Shang-Chi is a skilled martial artist who grew up in remote China and was inspired by his father, Fu Manchu, a Chinese crimelord and immortal wizard who repeatedly tried the Conquering the world was trained. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton based on a script by David Callaham, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings with the stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung and Ronny Chieng. The film is currently scheduled to hit cinemas on July 9, 2021.
